I looked around on the forums threw back posts, couldn't find one asking this. Was wondering which way would be the way to go? Mostly going to be using him for pvp. Im pretty new to the game so im not sure if skills are stronger depending one which class is your main. Any information would be useful, thank you ahead

Mesmer primaries have fast casting which is problably more useful than the necro primary soul reaping. Other than that they both get the same energy amount/regeneration and what not to my knowledge, so it doesn't really matter.

Necro's look cooler though.

If you want to do PvE, I'd probably go with Necro primary - I have an N/Me and it's a ton of fun, and Soul Reaping actually does some good in PvE.

For PvP I would go Mes primary - IMO Soul Reaping has got to be the worst ability for PvP.
